What is the plant

Begonia 'Jive' was created by Antoon Hoefnagels in the Netherlands. The plant will grow to be about 12 inches tall at maturity extending to 16 inches tall with the flowers, with a spread of 12 inches.

The medium sized leaves of Begonia 'Jive' are light green with chocolate brown markings along the leaf margin. The leaf margin is lined with small white hairs. There is a small spiral at the point of petiole attachment and the apex of the leaf comes to long point. Its small size makes it a perfect subject for the window sill. Begonia is a genus of perennial flowering plants in the family Begoniaceae. The genus contains more than 1,800 different plant species. The Begonias are native to moist subtropical and tropical climates.
