Limon eureka Care
Citrus x limon 'Eureka'

The “Eureka” lemon tree is an evergreen that produces pink-fleshed lemons all year. The fruit takes up to 9 months to ripen and will hang on the tree for up to 4months so there tends to be fruit for harvesting all year. Young lemons' exteriors are yellow with green streaks and mature to a pale yellow when ready for harvest. New growth on the tree is a bronzed purple color while mature leaves are an apple green. The standard Eureka grows to a height of 20 feet but a smaller dwarf version is available.

How to Care for the Plant
Water
Water the lemon tree often. Lemons grown in containers need water twice a week and may need to be watered daily during hot, dry weather. Once established, lemon trees planted in raised beds will still need a deep watering every 7 to 14 days, depending on weather conditions.
Fertilizer
Fertilize the tree with a nitrogen-rich or citrus fertilizer three times a year: once during the late winter months and again in June and August. Split the fertilizer applications so that the tree receives about 1 to 1 1/2 pounds of nitrogen a year.
Sunlight
Place the container in a spot that receives full sun.
Soil
Plant the tree in a container or in a raised bed where it will receive full sun.

These plants are hardy down to -5°C. But they must be protected or moved indoors if temperatures are expected to drop below −6.7°C (20°F).
