Pelargonium grandiflorum

Pelargonium is a genus of flowering plants which includes about 200 species of perennials, succulents, and shrubs, commonly known as geraniums, pelargoniums, or storksbills. Confusingly, Geranium is the botanical name and common name of a separate genus of related plants. Both genera belong to the family Geraniaceae.
How to Care for the Plant

Water

It's best to water Regal pelargonium twice per week, straight onto the soil, not on the plant itself. Check the soil frequently for dryness, particularly under the surface. Too much water will cause root rot, so do not leave the plant standing in water.

Fertilizer

Add some plant fertiliser once every two weeks to produce an abundance of flowers during the growing season.

Sunlight

The plant requires bright light inside and can be placed in full sun outside.

Soil

Choose a high-quality potting mix that provides a rich, moist, well-draining environment.

Temperature

Normal room temperatures of 60-75°F/16-24°C are sufficient for this plant. As soon as the frosts are over, it can be brought outside.

Container

Choose any type of container with enough drainage holes. Choose a pot that can be brought outside. Repot each year by replacing some of the soil or in a slightly larger pot.
