May Garden Bed Update!

Weve had a boatload of rain, so the plants are quite happy and filling in great. This is year three for this bed and Im excited to see how it goes through the rest of the year! (How it grows?) Happy to see a few things that made it back strong including wild quinine and the slender mountain mint is looking fantastic! I think it might be ready to finally put on a show this summer. #nativeplants #wildlifegardening

Native Bed 4/15

The rose verbena is in full bloom! The sweet smell hits me in the face every time I come home from work. Yarrow is getting ready to follow soon. Also my coral honeysuckle vine has its first flower buds, excited to see if the hummingbirds love it as much as the blue sage. #nativeplants #wildlifegardening

Perennial Pots Waking Up

I have four permanently outdoor containers currently: Prickly pear with rock pink Harebells Agave with purple poppy mallow Eastern blue star All of which are in years 2 or 3. Its fun being able to just leave them outside all winter or toss them in the garage and forget until spring. Hoping to try a new combo this year with littleflower alumroot and violet wood sorrel! #nativeplants #perennialcontainers #containerplanting

More Growth After Rain!

Native bed showing more signs of life. Wanted to show closer pics of the yarrow and rose verbena, which is starting to pop off with its first round of fragrant flowers for the year! Yarrow is way fluffier than I imagined, and I love it. #nativegardening #wildlifegardening #nativeplants
