I think you might have root rot. Does the dirt/pot have a bad odor? If so, You need to take a look at the roots. If you find brown kinda slimy roots, they need removed. Hopefully youll find some white healthy roots. If you find healthy roots, then Repot your plant in fresh well draining soil. You should repot in a pot that is 1” wider than the root ball and about two inches longer than the root length. Planting plants in oversized pots is very stressful and harmful to the plants roots.
