I have tried more and less water, more and less sun, and now I’m seeing mold in the soil! Help me bring her back to life. Also, I was told she’s a diffenbachia but the app says otherwise. Any ideas?

The plant in the image appears to be struggling and is not thriving. This can be due to a number of factors, including improper lighting, watering, or soil conditions. To improve the health of the plant, the following steps can be taken: 1. Move the plant to a location that receives bright, indirect sunlight. Aglaonemas prefer indirect light, as direct sunlight can cause the leaves to become scorched. 2. Water the plant thoroughly, allowing the soil to dry out between waterings. Over-watering can cause root rot, while under-watering can cause the leaves to become wilted. 3. Use a well-draining soil mix that is rich in organic matter. Aglaonemas prefer soil that is slightly acidic, with a pH between 5.5 and 6.5. 4. Provide the plant with adequate nutrition through fertilization. A balanced fertilizer with a ratio of 20-20-20 (nitrogen-phosphorus-potassium) can be used for Aglaonemas. 5. Prune the plant regularly to promote a healthy growth habit and remove any dead or damaged leaves. By following these steps, the health of the plant can be improved and it can thrive in its environment.
Repot with new soil, try to remove as much of the old soil as possible
Brown crispy leaves are usually from under watering. Prune off the dead leaves and start a regular watering schedule. Cinnamon on the soil will kill any mold or fungus that is present without harming your plant.
