Silver inch plant’s roots. I had to put them in water and threw immediately grew roots and I’m thinking of keeping them in the water instead of soil. Can anyone tell me if it’s okay and the dark roots are okay and not rotted ?

Leaving the roots in water for too long could weaken the root system. It’s good practice to put the starter in soil as soon as you see roots develop. If you plan to leave it in water longterm, it doesn’t matter if the roots are weak, it’ll thrive in the water as long as you change the water often and trim the roots occasionally.

You should position it so there is less stem in the water and no leaves are under water.
You also may want to consider putting the glass in something opaque to prevent algae overtime
