How to Care for the Plant
Water
The cactus has average water needs but still, requires regular irrigation. Neocardenasia herzogiana do not like wet feet, so take care of good drainage as wet feet can lead to root rot. Water once every month, from late February onwards (add a little bit of some liquid fertiliser) to boost them.
Fertilizer
Add a diluted liquid fertiliser when watering.
Sunlight
Neocardenasia herzogiana needs direct sunlight.
Soil
Choose a well-draining gritty potting mix. For better drainage, you can add broken pot shards or pebbles at the bottom of the pot.
Temperature
In winter, keep these cacti at app.16-18°C. During spring and summer they can withstand a room temperature of about 20-25°C.
Container
Choose any type of container with enough drainage holes.
