Talinum fruticosum ( common local name ನೆಲಬಸಳೆ - "Nela basale" in Kannada ) is a herbaceous perennial plant that is native to Mexico, the Caribbean, West Africa, Central America, and much of South America. Common names include Ceylon spinach, waterleaf, cariru, Gbure, Surinam purslane, Philippine spinach, Florida spinach, potherb fameflower, Lagos bologi, and sweetheart.

How to Care for the Plant
Water
Grow in full sun and water only when the weather is very dry. Foliage becomes even more vivid when Talinum is grown under dry conditions, but don't allow plants to wilt.
