Variegated Arrowhead Vine is a desirable new aroid that boasts arrow-shaped leaves marbled with varying shades of green with pure white patches. The stems develop a lovely pink hue in bright light. This vining plant grows vigorously in the summer and can be planted in a hanging basket or grown in a pot with a trellis.
Variegated Arrowhead Vine prefers high humidity and it should be kept slightly moist between waterings.
During spring - summer provide the plant with a diluted liquid feed once every two weeks. After summer stop feeding because the plant will no longer produce new growth to nourish.
Pruning during summer will encourage new growth and make the plant more bushy in appearance. To prevent the stems from climbing and growing too long pinch them at the tip of each stem that is now tall enough. You can also remove older stems. The stems removed can be propagated.
Plastic pots are the most commonly used pots. They are lightweight, relatively inexpensive, long lasting and work well for nearly all begonias. Watering and sizing correctly are the main problems with plastic pots. Unlike the other three pot types which are porous, plastic pots are not and hold water much longer.
