Lysimachia congestiflora, commonly called dense-flowered loosestrife or golden globes, is a prostrate, mat-forming herbaceous perennial that grows to only 3-6â tall but spreads in the garden by creeping stems to 12â wide or more to form a dense medium green ground cover accented from late spring to mid-summer by showy cup-shaped bright yellow flowers.
You should deadhead throughout the blooming season to keep your hydrangeas looking their beast and encourage new flower growth. However, stop deadheading hydrangea shrubs in mid to late fall, leaving any spent blooms in place.
