Dudleya edulis is a succulent plant known by the common name fingertips. Dudleya edulis is an evergreen Perennial growing to 0.5 m (1ft 8in). It is hardy to zone (UK) 8. It is in leaf all year, in flower from June to July. The species is hermaphrodite (has both male and female organs) and is pollinated by Insects.
The watering needs for Lady Finger Plant (Okra) care vary during the lifecycle of the plant. At the time of germination, it's important to keep the soil slightly moist but not dripping wet. You'll need to water daily. This can go on until the seedlings have about 3 to 4 leaves.

Lady's finger thrive well in loam, well-drained soil. Using a soilless commercial potting mix rich in organic matter is highly recommended. The pH levels of the soil should be 6.5 to 7.0.
Lady finger requires warm climate throughout its growing period because it cannot bear cold climatic conditions. It requires temperature range of 22-35°c for its best growth. Rainy season is essential for its successful growth. Seeds are unable to germinate when the temperature is below 20°c.
