Florida Prince is a medium to large, semi-freestone peach with red-blushed yellow skin and yellow flesh. Fruit ripens early in the season with a low estimated chill requirment of 150 hours.
Drought Tolerance/Watering: Newly planted trees should be watered two-three times per week during droughts, water sparlingly during winter. Soil & Site Requirements: Well-drained, sandy loam soils are preferred, with compost and organic mulch will lead to more success with the peach tree.
Trees must therefore be pruned annually to enhance tree growth, reduce fruit thinning costs, and adjust crop load for the following season.
