Drosera venusta, or the Elegant Sundew, is native to subtropical South Africa. D. venusta is easy to care for making it a good plant for beginners.
Water - must be mineral/chemical free - rain water, distilled water, water purified by Reverse Osmosis (RO water), your tap water may be good, depending on your locality. Check with other CP growers in your area or get an analysis of the water.
Feed bugs, dried bloodworms, or fishfood every 2-3 weeks, only use fertilizer if you have plenty of experience growing carnivorous plants
Drosera venusta has tolerated waterlogged soils better than most South African sundews in my experience.
You can remove dead leaves by trimming them with scissors. But this is not mandatory unless there are any pests. Also, transplant the plant into the new containers (bigger size if plant has grown) or wash the old container with soap and use it again.
