It is a narrow, greenish, hooded, cylinder with a long, upward-pointing "tongue." There are numerous tiny flowers crowded onto the 6-inch-long flower stem, the lower part of which is enclosed within the leaf stem. The white flowers are very small, with no petals or sepals. Orange-red berries follow.

Cultivation: The preference is dappled sunlight during the spring and light shade during the summer. The soil should be moist and loamy with a layer of decaying leaves. This plant adapts to shady areas underneath trees and doesn't like to dry out. It has few problems with disease and insect pests.
Additional
All parts of Arisaema dracontium are poisonous. This is related to the calcium oxalate crystals (and other toxins) in the plant. If ingested, intense burning of the throat, lips and tongue will occur. During flowering in spring, a single slender, green spathe 3–6 centimetres (1.2–2.4 in) long is produced; it covers a tapering, long thin spadix. The tail-like spadix grows out around the top of its spathe.
