It is a distinctive plant sending up erect red-orange stems from a gray-green basal rosette. The small yellowish-red thimble-shaped flowers top the stems in a cyme inflorescence. Some subspecies are considered threatened locally.
Speaking of water, âLiveForeverâ needs little water and should have an extended dry period between waterings. Sources advise withholding water in summer. Because this plant is accustomed to dry conditions in its native habitat, it is recommended to stop watering Dudleya succulents in summer.
It is most likely to survive with temperatures above the low 40s F. (4 C.), and as with other succulents, Dudleya succulent care should include planting in a fast-draining, gritty planting medium.
