What is the plant

The President' is a medium-sized deciduous climber. Single cupped flowers up to 18cm in width, with eight overlapping rich violet purple-blue sepals, silvery on the reverse with pinkish and deep red stamens. Flowers late spring to early summer and late summer to early autumn.

Contact either poison control, or your veterinarian, immediately. The President' is an early large-flowered cultivar that typically grows to 8-10' tall. Single, purple-blue flowers (to 7" diameter) with red anthers bloom early to mid season on old growth followed by additional late summer bloom on new growth. Dark green leaves. Showy seed heads develop in fall.
