Shrub up to 2 m. Green stems, easily crushed, with long internodes. Leaves deciduous, with deciduous rickets, adipinatny, with 2-3 pairs of leaves. The flowers are grouped by number from 2 to 6, yellow, the group of flowers is supported by peduncles longer than the leaves. Legumes with slight pronounced narrowing. It blooms in spring and summer. Its scientific name means "reed crown" due to its slender and bare stems, which led Jean Baugin (1541-1612) to call it Colutea caule genistae (a wolf with fluffy petioles).
