What is the plant

Taraxacum officinale, commonly known as Dandelion, is a flowering plant in the family of Asteraceae, also known as Daisies. This plant grows in temperate climates of Europe, Asia, and North America, though they are known to grow just about anywhere.

Dandelions can reach about 15 inches (38 cm) in height. They feature tall flower spikes that proudly show bright yellow blooms. The stems are hollow and contain a white, milky fluid.

The thing that Dandelions are famous for is their fruits. Although, these fruits are not quite like your regular fruits! They consist of a cluster of tufted seeds forming a fluffy ball together. The wind will eventually break this ball, and the seeds will be spread as they float on the breeze with their little tufted hats!

All parts of the Dandelion plant are edible, including the leaves, flowers, and roots!
