Crocodile fern Care
Microsorium musifolium 'Crocodyllus'

Crocodile ferns are part of the Polypodiaceae family and originate from Australia. However, despite their relatively hot homeland, they are comfortable as indoor plants globally. Microsorium musifolium 'Crocodyllus' can be identified by their wavy green leaves that appear to be made from crocodile skin. These leaves tend to grow from the stock outwards in long broad stretches.

How to Care for the Plant
Water
Crocodile's like water, and so do Crocodile ferns. However, keep the soil moist but not too wet. Wait until it is almost dry, then water until you can see drainage from the bottom of the pot. You'll need to do this about once every week or two.
Pruning
You can prune Crocodile ferns. Remove all severely damaged or dead leaves. Use sharp and clean tools.
Fertilizer
We recommend using a fertilizer specifically mixed for ferns. It would be best to dilute it to about a half.
Sunlight
Crocodiles like to sunbathe, but Crocodile plants do not. Keep them in areas with low-intensity light (next to north-facing windows).
Soil
A general-purpose nutritious soil mixed with some drainage objects will work perfectly for your Crocodile fern.
Propagation
Propagate your fern through its root system. This can be difficult as it can easily damage your plant. With your fingers, untangle the roots from each other slowly, then remove part of the fern, separating it into two—afterward, plant both in separate bots and water as usual.
Temperature
65°F (18°C) to 75°F (23.8°C) is the perfect range for these little plants. Not too hot, not too cold… Just perfect!
Container
These leafy friends don't need a lot of space, make sure their root system has about one inch (2.45cm) of space before the walls of the pot, and they will be happy. Whichever container you choose, make sure it has proper drainage.
Fun fact
Although Crocodile ferns may look as dangerous as a crocodile, they are non-toxic.
