What is the plant

This evergreen shrub grows to a height of 5’ and a width of 4’ in the shape of a dense, upright, oval to rounded shrub. Leaves are arranged in an opposite fashion, are simple and leathery. New leaf growth is pinkish bronze, while mature leaves have a mixture of green, gold and cream areas. They are 1”- 2.5" long and spiny pointed.
