How to Care for the Plant
Water
Most greenhouse soils are designed for constant drip watering, so your rose may dry out if it is not watered often. Peat-based soils will not absorb moisture easily once they dry out, and watering them from above will not help. To make sure your rose is not too dry, soak the pot in water for several hours to make sure the soil is completely moist. Then water it by allowing it to soak up water from the bottom of the pot rather than watering from above.
Pruning
Use sharp pruning shears to clip the stem above the highest set of leaves. Also prune these roses to remove dead or dying sections. Clip off yellowing leaves using your pruning shears. Remove any dead sections of the Kordana rose plant as well.
Fertilizer
Use a slow release pelleted fertilizer for flowering plants scattered on the surface of the soil, or fertilize with a very dilute solution of flowering houseplant fertilizer every time you water.
Sunlight
No matter how you grow them, your Kordana roses need a spot with bright light during the growing season.
Soil
Spread 3 to 4 inches of potting soil in a 7- to 10-inch plastic pot.
Temperature
If planting kordana roses in a large outdoor pot, keep an eye on temperatures. When the temperature drops below 40 °F, move the pot to an insulated place, such as a garage, shed, or basement. As long as the air temperature doesn't drop below -29 °F, kordana roses should survive.
