Annual herbaceous with erect and glaucous stems, which can grow to 40 cm. The leaves, divided twice, are converted into parallel segments that, towards the end of the leaf, become threadlike. Inflorescence in very tight racemes containing up to 60 flowers. These are pink or whitish in color, although the end of the petals may be stained red, especially after fertilization. The two innermost petals are welded towards the apex. Sepals colored like the petals. The fruit is flattened, with a thickened margin and a single seed, also flat, dark brown in color and with concentric striations. Blooms in spring.
