The stem is often branched from the base, angular, covered with long, half-pressed hairs, often purple, thickish at the base. Leaves are abundant, rigidly rough-bristly, basal on long shaggy petioles, double-, almost thrice-pinnately dissected, ovoid, sessile segments, frequent lobes, oblong, obtuse lobules.

Weeds can be removed manually by uprooting or cutting them close to the ground from time to time.
