L. anagyroides is a spreading, deciduous tree with hairy, grey-green juvenile shoots, dark green leaves divided into three elliptic, dark green leaflets and dense racemes of bright yellow flowers in late spring and early summer. The most common Laburnum in the UK, by a huge margin, is the common Laburnum (laburnum anagyroides) and the hybrid Laburnum x watereri 'Vossii'. Another common generic name is the Golden Chain tree.
