The Epipremnum aureum is a species of flowering plant in the family of Araceae and is native to French Polynesia. This plant has a multitude of common names, Golden Pothos, Pothos or Snow Queen. The Snow Queen is an evergreen vine that can grow over 1mtr tall. The Marble Queen can climb by means of aerial roots which adhere to surfaces. The leaves are variegated green with a cream border. The Snow Queen grows well in bright, indirect sunlight but will also tolerate low light conditions. Snow Queens are drought tolerant and don't require a lot of water. Allow the top layer of soil to dry between waterings. Because of the hardiness and low maintenance, this makes it a popular choice for beginner gardeners.
Watering pothos plants the way you water your pothos plants, and any plants indoor, has a very great effect on their health. improper watering is the main cause of death with indoor house plants. usually this would be from over-watering but if you are not caring for your plants on a regular schedule, under-watering can be a problem.
Mix the recommended amount of liquid fertilizer and water in a watering can. Then simply pour the mix into the soil as if you're watering the plant.
Use a potting mix, which makes it safer for plants because it doesn't contain pathogens such as fungus or other diseases.
To prune a plant to encourage bushy new growth, snip off the dominant buds on select stems, staggering the cuts to encourage varied growth.
Pothos prefer warmer temperatures, temperatures above 10oC are preferable, they will thrive between 18oC and 25oC.
Whether it be plastic or clay, make sure the pot you select has drainage holes in the bottom to prevent over-watering.
