Cardamine flexuosa is a ANNUAL/PERENNIAL growing to 0.5 m (1ft 8in).It is hardy to zone (UK) 4 and is not frost tender. It is in flower from April to September, and the seeds ripen from May to September. The species is hermaphrodite (has both male and female organs). The plant is self-fertile.Suitable for: light (sandy), medium (loamy) and heavy (clay) soils. Suitable pH: acid, neutral and basic (alkaline) soils. It can grow in semi-shade (light woodland) or no shade. It prefers moist or wet soil.
As it is frost hardy it can survive the winter and will flower as temperatures rise in early spring, producing several generations in a season.
