Majesty Palm consists of one trunk. Branches covered with many pointed leaves attached to them. The decorative Ravenea has a height of 9 to 13 feet (3-4 meters). Wild-growing Majesty Palm can be several times larger.
Gardeners advise watering Ravenea more often in spring and summer. During this period, the soil should be kept moist all the time. In autumn and winter, you should water the plant moderately. It is better to water Majesty Palm with warm water.
Majesty Palm is used to the sun as it is a tropical plant. If there is little sunlight in your area, you might need additional lighting with ordinary or special lamps for Ravenea. If the sun only shines on one side of a palm tree, you need to change its position occasionally to make all the leaves receive the sunlight evenly.
Specialists have created fertilizers specifically for palm trees. You need to use them for Majesty Palm in spring and summer.

Germinate seeds at a temperature of about 25 degrees Celsius (77 Fahrenheit). Young shoots of the plant are very vulnerable to the sun, so you need to protect them from direct sunlight.
This palm has accustomed to a humid and hot climate. In winter, Ravenea hibernates. Therefore, you must keep it at a lower temperature, about 15 degrees Celsius (60 Fahrenheit).
Any deep container will do. You only need to repot Majesty Palm when the roots of the plant come out of the pot.
Scientists count no more than a thousand copies of Ravenea in the wild. However, this plant is very common in decorative conditions. Thus, the popularity of this plant saves it from the threat of extinction.
