Few flowers can top the huge, saucer-shaped and brightly colored flowers of the hardy hibiscus plant. Although some of these plants can become quite large, hibiscus plants in a series called "Luna" (Hibiscus moscheutos "Luna") are dwarfs and are easy to keep within bounds. They have flowers in several colors, depending on the cultivar, and are easy to grow when given the correct light and other growing conditions
Watering your hibiscus during summer during the late spring and mid-summer months, your hibiscus plant will need to be watered almost daily. this is because the hibiscus flower holds lots of moisture, and therefore needs larger amounts of water during its blooming stage.
Use a fertilizer formulated specifically for your plant. Avoid over-fertilizing and follow the instruction on the label.
Here’s a handy guideline: increase pot size by 2.5-5 cm (1 to 2 inches) in diameter for plants that are growing in pots 25.4 cm (10 inches) in diameter or less. For larger plants, those growing in pots greater than 10 inches in diameter, increase the pot size by 5 or 7.62 cm (2 or 3 inches) in diameter.
