Cannas are ideal plants to give an exotic, tropical feel to the garden. There is nothing subtle about the combination of striking architectural foliage and brightly coloured flowers. They make an impact wherever they are grown - either as specimen plants in the border or pot plants on the patio. Canna 'Striata' has variegated leaves of cream and yellow green stripes. The large orange flowers are carried on plum-purple stems. This variety is also sometimes sold under the name of Canna 'Pretoria'.
