How to Care for the Plant
Water
Water my citronella geranium for land-based crops, watering is done only in a first weeks after sowing and planting. Watering after sowing is done in fine rain. Watering after planting / transplanting is done with a water jet or a watering cannula, taking care not to wet a leaves.
Pruning
Trim out dead and damaged leaves any time, pinching off or cutting off each of those leaves at its base. Avoid cutting into a plant's main stems or its crown, which is where its leaves and roots meet.
Fertilizer
Liquid fertilizers are applied more frequently, bi-weekly or monthly, for example. Granular products are used less frequently, perhaps once every month or two. Slow-release houseplant fertilizers break down slowly and release their nutrients in small amounts, over a longer period of time. A single application of most of these products lasts for three to four months.
Sunlight
Medium-light/Partly shaded – This is where the plant gets some morning sun or some afternoon sun. Morning sun is less intense than afternoon sun, so putting your plants a few meters in from an East facing window works for the maximum sun while reducing the risk of burning.
Soil
Use a special potting mix for your plant.
Temperature
maintain temperatures between 65 and 70 degrees Fahrenheit during the day and about 55 degrees at night.
Container
Whether it be plastic or clay, make sure the pot you select has drainage holes in the bottom to prevent over-watering.
