Peucedanum is a genus of flowering plant in the carrot family, Apiaceae.
Peucedanum is a genus of carrot-relatives (Apiaceae) that is most closely related to Angelica. Its common names, Hog Fennel and Milk Parsely are not inspiring, but the large basal tuft of leaves topped in summer by a tall purple spike with a large queen-anne's-lace-like white flower is a beauty to behold and attracts butterflies. Some members, P. praeruptorum and P. decursivum are used as medicinal plants in tradition chinese medicine, but other species are toxic.
