Oxalis incarnata

Oxalis incarnata is grown and kept as an ornamental plant. This is a perennial herb growing from a system of rhizomes and bulbs. The branching, hairless stem grows to nearly 30 centimeters in maximum length. There may be small bulblets located along the stem above ground. The leaves are borne on long petioles in erect bunches, each leaf made up of three leaflets. The solitary flower arises on a peduncle. Each flower has five white to light pink petals.

How to Care for the Plant
Water
When shoots appear in autumn, begin watering the newly growing Oxalis houseplant. Soil should remain lightly moist during times of growth. Water two to three times a month, allowing soil to dry out between waterings.
Fertilizer
Feed monthly in the spring and summer when a shamrock plant is actively growing with a balanced fertilizer diluted to 1/2 the recommended strength. Never feed a shamrock plant when it is dormant and the bulbs are resting.
Sunlight
Shamrock plants need bright indirect light to grow well and produce flowers.
Soil
Use a loose and sandy soil rather than a rich and organic soil.
Temperature
Shamrock plants grow best in cool temperatures between 60°-70°F (15.6°-21.1°C) during the day and 55°-65°F (12.8°-18.3°C) at night.
Container
It can be a nice hanging basket specimen. Choose a container with enough drainage holes.
Additional
Don’t dig a wild wood sorrel from outdoors and expect it to grow as a houseplant. Plant store-bought bulbs.
