The Flowering Maple is a very quickly growing tree-like plant, so it would require a lot of space indoors to grow one. It could reach up to 5 feet (153 cm) tall. To keep this plant to feet optimal for room size, prune and shape it regularly.
Affluent crown of dark to light green leaves make this plant one of the best and most popular decoratives. Its flowering season starts in June and lasts till October; the flowers can be red, pink, yellow, or white. Despite it being possible to grow Abutilon indoors, it is good to have an opportunity to place this plan in the garden or balcony during warm seasons.

How to Care for the Plant
Water
The Flowering Maple Plant loves water and requires abundant watering during spring and summer. Still, overwatering could be dangerous. Water the plant when the top ½ inch of the potting mix is dry to the touch. Reduce watering in autumn and winter.
Pruning
Pruning is eligible for shaping a tree crown. The end of the winter — the first part of the spring is the optimal time. Remove old branches and dry leaves as well as too big limbs to induce more active shoot growth.
Fertilizer
Feed Abutilon with a high-phosphorus water-soluble fertilizer (divided ½) every month or once every two weeks from spring to autumn — just during the active growth season.
Sunlight
Very light-loving, the Flowering Maple prefers rooms with south-facing windows south. Bring the plant outdoors in summer – for example, on the balcony.
Soil
A healthy all-purpose potting mix (like two parts soil, one part compost, and one part perlite, sand, or vermiculite) would be just fine for the Flowering Maple Plant.
Propagation
Propagation is made by cutting stems up to 3 or 5 inches (7-10 cm) long or sowing seeds from the flower in springtime. It takes up to three weeks for a new plant to spawn.
Temperature
Despite Abutilon being a light-loving plant, it can't stand too high temperatures. About 60°F (15,5°C) up to 80°F (26,6°C) is perfect for this plant to live and thrive.
Container
Repotting is allowed only in springtime and obtains growth of the root system. Choose a pot at least 300mm wide and deep.
Fun fact
Abutilon is an Arabic name given to it by medieval arabi scientist Avicenna.
