Echeveria ‘Blue Prince’ is one of our favorite succulents. Known for its appearance featuring dark, blue-green leaves that tend to turn bronze when exposed to full sun. This rosette-forming succulent creates reddish-orange flowers late in spring.
Like other succulents, the Echeveria doesn’t need much water. Once every few weeks is just fine, and once a month during the winter is more than enough.
Pick containers with drainage holes and use well-draining cactus and succulent soil with 50% to 70% mineral grit such as coarse sand, pumice, or perlite.
This type of succulent prefers a warm climate. It can survive at zone 10a-11b which is around -1.1 °C (20 °F). If you live in a cold area, it is better to plant Blue Prince in an indoor environment. As long as it gets enough sunlight, the plant will grow happily.
