what is going on with my poor aloe? i already lost a leaf and now another one is going bad
I’m not sure what to do, it’s not due to be watered and I have a heat lamp but I don’t want it to die

I’m not sure what the problem is. It looks pretty healthy. It doesn’t need lots of water, it’s a desert plant. Is it cool where you are? Maybe instead of a heat lamp, try more light. Aloes like a lot of light.
I had the same issue issue with my aloe and it ended up dying (this was a while ago). My problem was root rot and turned the plant into a rotting mulch like substance. To fix that, make sure you have drainage holes and don’t water until it gets completely dried soil when you stick your hand in. Hope this helps
My aloe plant got like that when outside in the sun … for some reason it don’t like outside and too much sun.. it’s inside doing fine
