New plant!
Got this baby for thanksgiving is a Christmas cactus/zygo cactus. Any tips on taking care?

Beautiful plant. It’s an epiphyte make sure you give it the correct light and that it’s potted in the correct airy medium (not soil). This plant doesn’t need bright light like other succulents or cacti, but watering should be similarly light, don’t let it get bone dry but don’t get it wet. It should be an easy grower. Care is more similar to that of an orchid than a regular cactus. Look up orchid care.
My biggest tip: don’t over water!!! Make sure the soil drains well, and a terra cotta pot is apparently good for it. Beware if it starts blooming every month! (They typically bloom once or twice a year?)🤷🏼♀️ Mine bloomed monthly for about 5 months, then it ended up with root rot. I’m trying to save it now. 😬 Maybe I was over watering it
It needs watering every 2-3 weeks, indirect light, well-drained soil, feed it once 1-2 month.
