Golden Sedum

Got these Gems a month ago. Planted them in a bigger pot. The stems were already 3-4” out of the soil so I thought they were long stem succulents. Now I am noticing what may be roots coming from the stems. They are wear little nodes nodes are. So my question is do I repot them and fill the dirt over these roots or is there supposed to be a long stem?
