I have never seen amaranth like this before

I grow amaranth every year and I have never had it get taller than maybe 3 feet. After last year, when nothing grew because of the drought, I just let the plant fall and if seeds grew I’d be happy. Never did I expect an almost 7 foot tall plant. So impressed by this
