Poinsettia’s need a well draining soil and a pot with drain holes as they’re prone to root rot. Their roots can’t stay in standing water. You may want to consider changing the soil if it doesn’t drain well and the pot if it has no drainage. They are sensitive to cold drafts and any direct heat source and if the air is dry in your home, you may want to consider a humidity tray (simply grab a shallow tray, place some pebbles in it, you want the pot to sit on top of the pebbles and put water in the bottom
of the tray but not reaching the level of the top of the pebbles because you don’t want the roots sitting in excess water).
