Jar as a plant pot experiment 🫙🌱
I have this old pasta jar that I kept to reuse and found out it was already chipped at the bottom. Which acts like a drainage hole surprisingly so I had an idea to use it as a plant pot. For more supporting for drainage I added rocks in the bottom, horticultural charcoal to prevent root rot and aeration to the soil. I choose my Pothos propagation as an experiment since Pothos tend to be a hardy plant, but hope this works. ☺️

Can this plant be saved?
This plant apparently was missed on more than one watering. The soil was so dry when I went to water it the plant fell out of the pot.. I have wet the soil and stuck the plant back into it. Do I keep it in the soil or do I take it back out and put it in water to regrow the roots? Can this be saved? Thanks

First Bloom!
Back in late August while my sister and I were closing up a family summer home (passed down from my grandparents), my aunt had stayed there last. She had bought a whole lot of plants during her stay - hundreds of dollars worth! AND SHE LEFT ALL OF THEM!!! The ones inside hadn’t been watered in more than a month and the ones outside had no drainage! I gathered everyone up and brought them home! The first thing I said to my mom as brought everyone in was: “YOUR SISTER IS A BAD PLANT MOM!!!!” I repotted the inside ones, giving them new pots with drainage, fresh soil with fertilizer and a good soak! The outside ones were more difficult! In one pot there was a large dragon tree and several kalanchoes. I had to untangled the different species and cut away a lot of root rot. I used a water/peroxide solution to remove any excess bad bacteria and replanted the dragon tree in its own pot. I ended up propagating the kalanchoes into four small pots, giving three away and I kept one! It recently bloomed and I’m so happy and feel pretty proud of myself.

Watering cycle coming due in 3 days. Current soil is still pretty moist, dirt sticks to finger when checking. But noticed a few nats near the base but no larvae. Should I water per schedule in 3 days or hold off to dry top layer in case larvae exist, to kill life cycle.

i think this moght be a burn mark
So I’ve had this plant for a few months now and it grew great and it grew another snake plant. The issue is I left it in outside sun for a few days and in that time the smaller one got this marking I’d hope it would go away but it hasn’t and it’s slightly on the side of the leaf too I don’t wanna be worried but I don’t want it to get sick or anything

Lily
are classic, fragrant, bulb-producing perennials known for their showy, trumpet-shaped flowers in many colors, thriving in full sun and well-drained soil. They are easy to grow, planted in spring or fall, and come in various types like Asiatic, Oriental, and Tiger lilies, adding height and color to gardens from late spring through summer. Key to their care is good drainage, sun for the blooms, and shade for the roots, with a mulch layer to keep roots cool. Herbaceous perennial, grows from a scaly underground bulb. Varies by species, from 1 to 8 feet tall. Varies by type, from late spring to early fall. Full sun for the leaves, but roots prefer shade. Well-drained, fertile soil is essential; amend clay with compost for better drainage. Keep soil moist but not soggy; avoid stagnant water. Helps keep roots cool and moist. Fall or spring Plant bulbs 6-9 inches deep with roots down, spaced 9-12 inches apart, and water well. Use a bulb fertilizer when planting and a balanced liquid fertilizer during the growing

tulip
Scientific Name: Tulipa.Family: Liliaceae (Lily family).Origins: Central Asia, notably the Tian Shan mountains, later cultivated extensively in Turkey and the Netherlands. They possess two to six fleshy, blue-green leaves (up to 12 in some species) and flowers with six tepals. They bloom in almost every color except true blue Plant bulbs in fall, 4 to 8 inches deep, allowing them to root before winter. They thrive in full sun and well-draining soil to prevent bulb rot Primarily early to mid-spring (April and May). Typically 2–6 leaves (some species up to 12) that are cauline, strap-shaped, and alternate, often with a waxy coating. Plant bulbs in the fall (4-8 inches deep) in well-drained soil. Prefer full sun to partial shade. Require well-drained soil, as bulbs will rot in overly moist conditions. They are considered short-lived perennials in many gardens, often treated as annuals for the best display. Excellent in pots, garden borders, or rock gardens.
