You should clean of any dead roots. But dont cut them just clean the smush. All the roots have a white ting root inside of them. You can use hydrogen peroxide to sprey the roots and let it dry. After that ıd suggest you to use clay pebbles and a big glass jar without any drainage holes. Dont water it for a few days. After that only water your orchid when the roots are white. But please clean the roots really thoroughly. İf you leave any rot part or soil it will rot again
