Shriveled but Hanging On

I got this sprout on Mothers Day and having been caring for it ever since. Sadly, I was out of town for a while for Thanksgiving and I came home to find him shriveled. That was on Sunday and it is now Wednesday. Ive watered it every day since I got back. It seems to be trying to hang on-it has perked back up and the new growth at the appears to be in decent shape. Go Basil Go!

The Basil has drought shock, but watering every day is a fatal mistake. It causes root rot. Recovery Plan: * Stop Daily Watering: Roots need oxygen. Only water when the top inch of soil is dry. * Prune: Snip off those large, curled leaves. They waste energy needed for the new growth. * Sun: Keep it in the window. Would you like help identifying exactly where to cut?
