plantin says this is a noxious weed?
I’m really confused. I was so excited to find fennel just growing wild but I guess it’s actually a noxious weed here? And I’m also confused why plantin says something I just purchased from the farmer’s market to add to dinner is something that needs to be handled with gloves? Could someone please explain?

I don't know.
I would love to help!! Sometimes though this is a helpful app the ar camera gets confused Fennel has bright green, feathery, or thread-like leaves that look very similar to dill. When crushed, these leaves emit a strong, distinctive aroma often described as smelling like licorice or anise. Snip a part of the plant to see if it has these traits!!!
fennel belongs to the carrot family (Apiaceae), it shares a visual resemblance with several other plants in the same family, some of which are highly toxic, such as poison hemlock.
This app's AI is... Not very bright. Use the app Seek for wild identification. Great for all critters as well, from bugs to birds to mammals. I just got this app so I don't register plant store plants on my inaturalist account, linked to Seek. Feels like cheating.
