Can someone please help? I am new to this. I am gardening in buckets. I have drilled holes for drainage. This is my Japanese cucumber and I have peppermint planted beside it. I have added granular fertilizer and I am trying to water only when the soil is dried and not . But the edges of the leaves are turning brown/tan on the cucumbers and dark on the peppermint. And look dry. It’s pretty uniform all the way around the edges of the cucumber leaves.  the diagnosis on this app said overwatering, but the soil was dry as far as I could tell not even moist when I watered.  it wasn’t doing great as far as growing big, but this happened when I came out today just now and I seen the ages had turned. I’ve had them planted in the soil for about a week.

I would separate the peppermint plant into its own pot. They love to crowd and take over. May need to mix in a rich potting mix or peat moss to help enrich the soil a smidge. If it’s been getting cold like we’re dealing w here in the Midwest still at night the roots may be getting a little cold too being potted.
