Unfortunately, yes. He needs time to dry out his roots. Make sure there is no standing water in the bottom water catch. If it’s really saturated, set doubled-up paper towels underneath drainage holes to help absorb the excess water quicker and to avoid root rot. Once the towels are saturated, replace with another set until no more water is absorbed in them. Keep it in as much sunlight as possible until soil dries out to watering point again.
