Grow grass
I just moved into this house where the people that lived here prior simply didn’t take care of any of it and all the grass was covered in piles of pine straw. It also is covered by a ton of shade. Is there anyway I can get grass to grow here and what do I need to do because I am a complete newbie at this. Thank you for your time.

There is special fertilizer you can buy that has different nutrients to counteract the acidity of the pine needles. In my case, that’s all I needed and then the grass grew great. There may also be some species of grass that might do better, if the fertilizer isn’t enough.
