what do i need to do different to make the leaves stronger? They tend to fall over

Maybe try applying fertiliser
Gently tie it to another leaf and let it grow for awhile like that until it stands on its own.

Water less
Tie two separate pieces of twine or string around the plant then knot it. Do it gently, One around the middle and the second around the top, let it be for a couple weeks until the leaves gain strength. That should help. Good luck!
Less water- these are snake plants and are actually really hard to kill because they like all levels of sunlight. But, they CAN drown….and that makes them weak and limpy
