How can I fix my fiddle leaf fig?
My FLF has lots of brown marks and some holes in the leafs. Do I need to water more or less?

The decrease & increase of temperature might have affected the plant. Try watering it when the sun is low in the evening or morning, try to avoid watering when the sun is strong, it burns the leaves. It has some sun burn leaves. It as well looks like it’a sick since it has holes, try fungicide & tree care. Pruning of the tree helps to be healthier, the affected leaves or branches minimize the chances of the disease coming back.
@user13953822 Should I prune off those bad leaves? Will that stop it from growing upwards? I spray it with a mister to simulate humidity but often in the daytime so I might be amplifying the sun myself! 🥺
Try caring for it first & insecticidal soap, to kill the remaining insects you can also use neem oil or take a q-tip & put some 70% rubbing alcohol. You can prune the leaves but there is no need since they will grow back up unless they are infected it’s a easier way for it to stop the chances so yes I would recommended to prune the affected leaves or branches not the plant in general. The room temperature might be affecting it you don’t want to much or to low
@justinwilliames it might be stimulating it to much specially with watering it might burn it. I would recommend to research the best room temperature for your plant even though it might feel good to you some plants need some extra warmth or air. & prunning will help circulate the air. Since it might be infected you can do it now but I would recommend prunning usually during summer and autumn
& for the growing way it just depended on the tree and how you adopt the tree to grow & it’s environment some people uses plant poles or sticks support to train them to grow upwards but some plants are naturally tall trimming them back from time to time at a certain height depending on what you like can keep them low and encourage them to grow outwards
@user13953822 Thanks so much for these answers - I’ll see if I can get Neem oil or something! 🙌🏼
Perhaps this plant is affected by a bacterial disease. In this case, you need to apply appropriate antibacterial pesticides
