Can anyone tell me why my blossoms are growing together? This is a green zucchini plant

Ive heard in some cultivars, the male and female flowers buddy up for better chance of pollination. If both on a stem are female flowers (fruit bearing) when they open, probably break the weaker one off so you dont lose both.
